About Seescape

Fife Contemporary are delighted to be partnering with Seescape Kirkcaldy Group to provide an audio described tour of Dear Earth provided by artist Juliana Capes. The tour will start at 2pm on Monday 10^th August. This is not a drop in event and is reserved for members of Seescape Kirkcaldy.

About the Artist

Juliana Capes is an artist and experienced audio describer with over 15 years’ experience describing exhibitions for visually impaired audiences for visual arts and film, leading descriptive tours in gallery spaces across Scotland. She is also the lead artist on the National Gallery of Scotland’s Visual Impairment programme. Through her participatory and collaborative descriptive style Juliana will bring the gallery space of Dear Earth and the works within it to life for Seescape Kirkcaldy group members. 

About Seescape 

Seescape is the leading provider of support services for people with a visual impairment in Fife. They aim to empower people with a visual impairment to live safely, independently and achieve their personal goals. They offer a range of services as part of a one-stop-shop approach, including information and advice, rehabilitation, an accessible technology service and a range of social opportunities and activities to support with health and wellbeing. They 5 social groups meet throughout Fife for people who want to get out into the community and meet and socialise with peers. These social groups are well established and are often a lifeline for people who are socially isolated and lonely.
