Shelters on Tour

A major FCA&C exhibition highlighting the human need and drive to find and make shelter presented as part of Scotland’s Festival of Architecture 2016 – now on tour. Curated by Bobby Niven of The Bothy Project this introduces the history of Lloyd Kahn’s iconic Californian based Shelter Publications for the first time in the UK through an immersive photographic installation.  The current Scottish dimension to the international shelter/cabins/off-grid movement is explored through the stories around a range of Scottish self-build initiatives.
