Artistic barter with six Scottish poets creating a poem in response to craftworks gifted to them from FCA&C’s treat store

FCA&C’s treat store is a pioneer of curated online shopping for high quality craft and design. A group of Scotland-based craft artists is selected each year to provide two seasonal collections of work. Photographs not only of the work but also of pieces being modelled or used around the home compensate for the virtual nature of the browsing experience. More than just a shop, treat also shares the stories behind the work which are so much part of the experience of craft.

For Poetrytreat StAnza and FCA&C have matched up poets with gifts from the new spring/summer 2016 collection. It will be fascinating to discover what the poets create from language in response to what the craft artists have created from a range of more tangible materials.

The poets taking part are Janette Ayachi, Katherine McMahon, Nalini Paul, Chris Powici, Julia Prescott, Jim Stewart, and the treat artists, Anaïs Paulard, Jo Walker, Mitchell & Black, Rachel Elliott, Beth Lamont, SodaKitsch.
