Perth Ideas Centre, Perth
Thursday 9th October 2025
10am or 11am
With Fife Contemporary Programme Manager Kate Bell and UNESCO Programme Officer Poppy Jarratt

The Visual Artist and Craft Makers Awards (VACMA) scheme offers small grants to visual artists and craft makers for their creative development at all stages of their career. These awards are supported by Creative Scotland through funding from the National Lottery in partnership with Fife Contemporary and UNESCO Perth.

Full details of how to apply for VACMA this year are now available. The deadline is 5pm on Tuesday 21 October 2025.

To support prospective applicants, we are hosting in person VACMA Advice Sessions* in Kirkcaldy and Perth. This is a further opportunity to hear tips on creating your submission and for you to ask questions about the application process and form.

Join us at either 10am or 11am on Wednesday 8th October 2025 in The Design Suite at Adam Smith Theatre, Kirkcaldy, with Programme Manager Kate Bell (Fife Contemporary) and Director Kate Grenyer (Fife Contemporary).

Alternatively, you can join us 10am or 11am on Thursday 9th October 2025 in the Perth Ideas Centre at the Perth Creative Exchange, with Programme Manager Kate Bell (Fife Contemporary) and UNESCO Programme Officer Poppy Jarratt (Perth UNESCO City of Craft).

If you are applying for VACMA in Fife or Perth & Kinross, you are welcome to attend either session.

If you would prefer to attend one of our online advice sessions, limited spaces are available.

*Please note we will not be able to answer questions relating directly to your application. Once Creative Scotland has launched the scheme, you will be able to read about how to apply for VACMA and find out if you’re eligible.
