As Others See Us – Projection by broad daylight

Thurs 19 – Sun 22 March 2009 in St Andrews Town Hall foyer, from 10am to 5pm –

‘As Others See Us’ is a projection of portraits of Scots prominent in their field, created in response to Robert Burns. Sitters ranging from Edwin Morgan to Hardeep Singh Kohli, from Peter Capaldi to Eddi Reader respond to a Burns quote, communicating their own view of the relevance of Burns today.

Tricia Malley and Ross Gillespie (collectively known as broad daylight) have worked together for some 20 years. The main body of their work is the production of high quality creative images and innovative portraiture. They have had 4 major photographic portraiture exhibitions as well as producing the imagery for the book Rebus’s Scotland (2005) which they worked on in conjunction with the crime writer Ian Rankin.
