Now in its 6th year Fife Contemporary has continued to evolve and develop its support for new and emerging makers. As the world has opened up again we were delighted to get along and visit in person Degree shows throughout Scotland to select for this years New Makers Awards.
This year the award consists of £250 to go towards each makers practice, this could be towards the cost of materials/equipment, a course to learn a technique or studio space. As part of the award Fife Contemporary will host some tailored professional development, which will be decided upon by the group of 10 makers selected from Scottish design courses. In addition each maker will feature in the Materialise 6 exhibition in 2023. Keep an eye on our socials for where and when that will take place.
We have selected based on criteria that embodies the types of work Fife Contemporary are interested in engaging with and developing. We look to share and encourage activity that is multidisciplinary in approach and outcome and are exited by innovative, environmentally aware and conceptual work.
