With bookings coming in daily now, we thought it was time we let everyone know what a fantastic line-up we have for the day.
The morning sessions will be concerned with looking at how individual artists can sustain their art practice – so, we’ve got Emma Walker from Craftscotland to talk about getting the best out of the press for your work, and some up to date info on funding, plus we’ll introduce the idea of a ‘Skills Exchange’ which we hope will be a good source of discussion during the morning. In the afternoon, the focus shifts to sustainability on a more global scale with talks from Glasgow based artist Justin Carter, Dr Emilia Ferraro from St Andrews University’s Institute of Sustainable Development, and Simon Murray, one of the ‘co-realisers’ of the C Words project (carbon, climate, capital, culture) held at Bristol’s Arnolfini last year. We’ve even got a practical art activity you can take part in (if you like!) – so, what’s not to like! Book your space – it’s completely free – before they all go: Sat 17 April, 10-4, at the Rothes Halls, Glenrothes, for a daythat promises to be thought-provoking, entertaining and useful!
