Kathryn Reid String Pendant Necklace

The inspiration behind Kathryn’s work comes from her father’s encounters with objects, machinery and tools on her family farm.

The String Pendant Necklace is made of recycled, scrap sterling silver which is melted down, hammered flat and then the texture is added using customised steel tools. Each necklace is unique & may vary slightly in shape and size. The Pendant is double sided, one side showing the texture of the black wrap on a silage bale. The other side shows the frog of a horses hoof pressing into the silver. The silver has a matte finish. The necklace is then tied in a double knot at the back to your desired length. The wax chord represents baler twine which is a heavily used material on her farm. The wax chord is available in 3 colours, orange, cream and yellow.  Please state when you order.
