See objects looked after by our museums from a new viewpoint!

Four artists explored Fife Council Museums’ collections and made stimulating artwork in response to a wide range of different things. There is a long tradition of artists taking inspiration from historical objects. They respond to how things look, what they are made from and the stories or imagined stories attached to them. Artists are also very aware of museums as special places where artefacts are stored and displayed in ways which are often very different from how we would look after or use objects at home.

An exhibition of the artists’ work has been organised for display at St Andrews Museum and Kirkcaldy Museum & Art Gallery. This is a digital version of the exhibition for you to visit and explore. Enjoy!

The project was devised by Fife Contemporary Art & Craft.
