Two shared Project Spaces are available at Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop: the Paolozzi Project Space and the Labs Project Space. These spaces can be shared between up to 4 sculptors. Applications are welcome from artists working within contemporary sculpture practice who wish to work in a shared studio space.

Paolozzi Project Space is located at Workshops level in the Bill Scott Sculpture Centre. It offers easy access to the other workshop spaces and is suitable for all kinds of sculptural activity.

The Labs Project Space is in the Creative Laboratories and provides a clean, bright working space, which is most suitable for clean working, with sink and wifi.

Work in these spaces must be conducive to shared working and not have a negative impact on other artists sharing the space (noise, fumes, dust, etc). 24 hour access can be requested.

Rental Rates (per quadrant)

Minimum hire: 1 week – £30.00 per week*

Maximum: 1 to 3 months – £100.00 per month*

* Rates include ESW membership. Additional charges apply for machine use and consumables.

All prices include VAT at the current rate

  • 8 images of your work (jpeg or pdf preferred)
  • current CV

IMPORTANT NOTE: maximum total attachment size per email is 10MB

Applications are reviewed by Assistant Director, Gordon Munro, who will aim to respond to proposals within 4 weeks of their being received

Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop offers purpose-built facilities for artists, with well-equipped Wood, Metal and Mixed Media Workshops, Education Space, 26 studios, two shared Project Spaces, outdoor working spaces and meeting areas, all located across two recently opened purpose-built premises: Bill Scott Sculpture Centre, which opened in June 2012, and Creative Laboratories which opened in 2015.
