Big Cat Textiles and Hat in the Cat News

Big Cat Textiles masterclasses – now taking bookings
And a reminder that we are already taking bookings for our Big Cat Textiles 2018 Masterclasses. We have some great artists on our 2018 program including Big Cat favourites Charlotte Sehmisch and Anna Gunnarsdottir, who are each returning with a brand new class. They will be be joined by some first-timers whose work has intrigued us, including stitcher James Hunting and Elizabeth Ashdown, who creates passementerie. You can find the class listing here and you can book here.

Hat in the Cat 2018 class listing now available
Our program of hat-making classes returns for 2018. Each class has a different focus and uses materials suited to the season.

  • On the one-day classes you will focus on a particular style, and you will leave with a fully completed hat, finished to a high standard.
  • Three-day millinery schools allow time for experimentation with a range of media and techniques, before you go on to design and make two hats of your own design.

Class sizes are kept small to ensure Jeanette can provide each participant with plenty of one-to-one support. Early booking is therefore advised to avoid disappointment. You can find the class listing here
