Join us in celebrating 20 years of Fife Contemporary with Dear Earth — a landmark exhibition exploring themes of sustainability, the climate emergency and care for our planet 🌍 Dear Earth features work by nine artists who have reflected on their own relationship to a fragile and precarious world, and through their practice have found a way to respond: Ade Adesina, Helen O’Brien, Jeni Reid, Jenny Pope, Naomi Mcintosh, Scott Hunter, Susie Johnston, Will Carey, Zoe Hamill. Dear Earth concludes on 13 September 2026 in Kirkcaldy Galleries and runs from 30 September 2026 - 6 March 2027 at St Andrews Museum. Join artists and makers for MUD, a one-day artist Join artists and makers for MUD, a one-day artist development event exploring mud, wild clay, natural foraged pigments and earth-based creative practice. 🌱 MUD: Artist Development Day 📆 Saturday 21 November 2026 ⏰ 9:30am - 4:30pm 📍 The Boiler House, St Andrews Botanic Garden Produced by Fife Contemporary with Perth UNESCO City of Craft and Folk Arts at St Andrews Botanic Garden, the day will bring together talks, practical activity, peer exchange and discussion around how artists can work creatively and responsibly with materials gathered from the land. Participants will gain insights into the innovative, provocative and thought-provoking work taking place in Scotland today. They will have space to consider foraging, care, safety and ecological impact while connecting with others interested in material, place and environmental practice This opportunity is for artists, makers and creative practitioners interested in clay, mud, pigments, foraging, ecology, material research and place-based practice. Tickets cost £20 (this is a funded opportunity, with the value of each ticket c.£200 per person). Explore environmental storytelling across two online evening sessions - these will include reading, discussion and bookmaking. 📖 Session One: Reading Group & Discussion ⏰ Thursday 15 October, 6pm–7pm 📖 Session Two: Bookmaking as Activism ⏰ Thursday 22 October, 6pm–7.30pm Open to artists, makers and creative practitioners at any stage of their practice. Tickets cost £10 + £15 refundable deposit (upon attendance of both sessions). Your ticket includes a workshop kit that is posted out to you - book by 5 October 2026.
