Garden bench with lots of family memories bought from two sister in Bearsden , advert said needs some attention…..

Stage 1. Removed the rusted bolts, welded the broken parts, sand blasted the steel then powder coated in metallic grey.
Stage 2. Sawmill machined Iroko wood to specification , ordered stainless steel coach bolts to size & length.
Stage 3. Cut and drilled timber to length and fitted bolts, finally linseed oiled the wood again and again.

Too lovely a piece not to salvage and restore – who was the designer who make the shape so lovely……
