Resolve to Make it New
Fife Contemporary’s partnership with StAnza 2021 is a celebration of the items that have literally been made anew during the past tumultuous year, through darning and mending in all its forms. This online exhibition will include images of these rescued and now cherished objects, as well as short poems that look at the theme of making new in its widest sense.
Welcome to our 3rd annual New Makers’ online exhibition. Join us in exploring a selection of makers from the 2019 graduating year, along with submissions from our open call (postponed from early 2020). Read about what they have been up to over the last year, where their practice has been taking them and how the lockdown has affected their creativity.
Fife Portraits for LGBT+ History Month 2019
Fife Pride was to have taken place again in Kirkcaldy on 4 July 2020. Sadly because of ongoing covid-19 restrictions, this is no longer possible. We are therefore marking the date with this online exhibition of Fife Portraist for LGBT+ History Month which were made in 2018-19 when Fife Contemporary commissioned Jannica Honey to work with groups of young people in Fife.
