Ted Hunt

Born in Wales 1976, Ted Hunt is an independent speculative / critical / discursive designer living and working in London. Ted has most recently collaborated directly with Jasleen Kaur upon a series of workshop commissions for the Royal College of Art’s ReachOutRCA programme. Ted’s own practice shares multiple themes and intersections with Jasleen, increasingly complimenting rather than contracting their differing genre’s of traditional classification (artist /  designer).

Ted holds a Masters Degree from the Royal College of Art and is a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts / Royal Anthropological Institute, and is the founder/director of The Museum of Technorealism. His work has been shown nationally at and commissioned by;  Artangel, Alain de Botton, ICA, Royal College of Art, Southbank Centre, Dulwich Picture Gallery and internationally by;  Rijksmuseum Amsterdam, National Gallery of Victoria, Art Gallery of Ontario, Vitra Design Museum, MAK Vienna and the Vienna Biennale 2017.

Ted’s work currently explores the boundaries between subjective, objective and inter-subjective interpretations and perspectives, along with ongoing endeavours to actively couple design with philosophy and modern technology with ancient wisdom.
