Sue Candy

From her workshop in Hebden Bridge, Sue produces individual contemporary tableware and accessories, hand-built from porcelain clay slabs and constructed as delicate boxes. Some designs are geometrical, others inspired by coastal and rural buildings, such as beach huts, lighthouses, piers and windmills.

All the pieces are hand-decorated in greys and blues, using sgraffito and inlay techniques, and finished with a transparent glaze. All her work is food-safe and waterproof.

Sue calls them 'mustard', 'tealight', 'budvase' etc., but the uses to which they can be put are limited only by the imagination!
