Jim Stewart has taught English literature at the University of Dundee since the late 1980s. For the past ten years, he has also co-taught creative writing there with the novelist Kirsty Gunn. He reads and publishes poetry every year, and is working towards a first collection. He is librettist for the composer Graham Robb’s oratorio and opera Flora Macdonald, a work in progress. He is Poet in Residence at Tentsmuir Forest in north-east Fife.
