Merging the processes of drawing, painting and fusing vitreous enamel to metal, motivate my work. In recent years digital imaging and technology have enhanced the more direct art methods I’m accustomed to using. I find great satisfaction in experimenting with materials and processes that challenge my ability to control. Fusing glass to metal over the course of multiple firings creates a metaphorical dialogue in the studio between the results of each firing and my response. Enamel has always provided that challenge, thus motivation.
