Panel is an independent curatorial practice led by Catriona Duffy and Lucy McEachan. Based in Glasgow, Panel promotes design in relation to particular histories, archives and collections through exhibitions, events and cultural projects. Our programme engages public audiences and designers through commissioning and also makes connections with practitioners and institutions whose work extends into visual arts, craft and other cultural contexts and frameworks.

Major projects to date include The Inventors of Tradition exhibition, film screening, international touring fashion collection and publication with Atelier E.B (2011); Scotland Can Make It!, a ‘Culture 2014’ commission of six souvenirs inspired by the XX Commonwealth Games, presented as part of a public programme of exhibitions and events at the People’s Palace, South Block and other venues across Glasgow (2012-14); Carpets of Distinction, a commission of six hand-tufted rugs in partnership with Dovecot Studios (2012); House Style an exhibition and series of film commissions in partnership with Tramway (2013); The Inventors of Tradition II an exhibition, events programme, fashion collection and publication with Atelier E.B (2015-16) and The Persistence of Type an exhibition of new work by Sophie Dyer, Maeve Redmond and Fiona Jardine presented at Tramway (2015) and Glasgow International (2016).
