FCA&C brings Crafts Council exhibition to Fife

FCA&C is delighted to be bringing Added Value?, a Crafts Council touring exhibition, to St Andrews Museum as its final exhibition of 2013.  This will be the exhibition’s only showing in Scotland.

Responding to current economic trends, Added Value? questions the value of contemporary craft within the contexts of branding and luxury.  Investigating differing perceptions of value, the exhibition will explore the increasing desire for authenticity, quality and craftsmanship, which is redefining our understanding of luxury.

Taking part in the exhibition is fine artist/jeweller Zoe Arnold; Oliver Ruuger; Simon Hasan;  bespoke shoemakers carréducker; jelly-mongers Bompas & Parr; and bespoke wallpaper maker Tracy Kendall.

The show opens on Sat 14 December 2013, celebrated by a one-off treat Winter Pop-Up in the museum featuring work for sale by Scottish makers.  It runs until 2 March 2014.  Opening hours are daily 10.30am-4pm.

Full details about the exhibition and accompanying events can be found on FCA&C’s website.
