Recent visit to Collect

FCA&C’s Diana Sykes enjoyed a trip to Collect in London recently and was delighted to spot our rather beautiful display plinths from last year’s Causing Chaos exhibition being put to excellent use on the Bishopsland Education Trust stand.

Displayed there to great effect was a selection of engraved silverware by renowned Scottish silversmith and engraver Malcolm Appleby.  Very pleasing to see the plinths being given a new lease of life.

Diana also managed to hear a ‘booth talk’ between Bishopsland Education Trust curator Amanda Game and Malcolm himself (wearing a rather fetching shirt!).  Judging by everyone’s expressions, it looks like it was entertaining!

A walk round the craftscotland stand was also enjoyed by Diana –

And finally, she was delighted to catch up with Marie-Jose van den Hout of the Galerie Marzee in Nijmegen, Holland.  Marie-Jose was wearing one of the necklaces she loaned to us 2 years ago for The Marzee Collection exhibition – clearly a favourite!
