Any lovers of fabulous contemporary jewellery and photography may well remember our 2009 exhibition featuring a selection of pieces from the Marzee Collection in Nijmegen and a series of photographic portraits by Tricia Malley and Ross Gillespie of broad daylight.
The exhibition returned to the Netherlands after its Scottish sojourn and was displayed in 2010 in Galerie Marzee. Back in Scotland meanwhile, Tricia and Ross have been busy putting together a new website of their photographic work and we’re delighted to see that the Marzee images (and therefore jewellery) are getting another public airing. To have a look yourself (and see the wide range of interesting work they’ve undertaken), go to their website and click on the projects link and you’ll find a selection of 6 of the 12 images. The models, all prominent Fifers and their invited guests, were photographed in a room at House of Falkland, in front of a beautiful Delft tiled fireplace – very appropriate given the origin of the collection!
We still have copies of the exhibition publication featuring all 12 images and close-ups of all the jewellery worn and these can be purchased via FCA&C’s website for £8.50 including postage & packing within the UK.
The neckpieces modelled here by Fife chef and writer Christopher Trotter and Fife artist Carolyn Scott are ‘Necklace (bottles)’ by Ulrich Reithofer and ‘Habicht (hawk)’ by Dorothea Pruehl.
