Only a day left to see Jila Peacock's exhibition

Yes, it’s that time already – one day left until the end of the show.  If you’re interested in seeing how calligraphy can be transformed into eloquent shape poems, look no further than these examples, using the work of Hafez of Shiraz.

It all ends at 5pm on 31 March at St Andrews Town Hall – but you can still find out about Jila Peacock’s work via her website and see a short clip of the lovely animated film of some of her calligraphy here.  The film (‘Tongue of the Hidden’) will continue to be shown in St Andrews until 28 April to accompany a display of artwork by Primary 5 from Lawhead PS, St Andrews, who visited the show and then had a printmaking workshop based on what they saw.  They’ve also been writing poetry with the help of the StAnza Poetry Festival and the link is clear in some of the children’s work.  More info on our website prog page and on earlier blogs.
