Farewell to Tonia!

We had a wee get-together recently to bid farewell to our trainee curator, Tonia Lu, whose 15 month stay with us has, alas, come to an end.  She’s now off to study for a PHd in Glasgow and we wish her all the best.

Her traineeship was funded by a Scottish Arts Council equalities career development grant.  Tonia waded straight in to work and her main task was to curate (from scratch!) an exhibition for St Andrews Museum in early 2010.  The very successful ‘HOTPOT [art, food + people]’ was the result.  Her leaving gift from us was a Fair Isle coffee pot cover, to remind her of her trip to the Rural Crafts Initiative conference on Shetland – and to help keep her warm during the many hours of study to come!  All the best Tonia!
