Young artists inspired by Papua New Guinean art

Recently MUSA (Museum of  the University of St Andrews) ran a series of art workshops for children in which they explored a variety of print techniques, using images of FCA&C’s exhibition,  ‘Double Visions – Contemporary Art from Papua New Guinea’  as their inspiration.

As one of the artists in the exhibition, Mathias Kauage, was a keen printmaker himself and there is some of his work on show, the budding artists had perfect examples to look at when creating their own artworks.  The ‘Double Visions’ exhibition runs at the Gateway Galleries, St Andrews, until 14 August 2010.  More information about it can be found on the Programme page of FCA&C’s website.
