I’ve just put a load of Alix Swan’s lovely fairytale badges on show at St Andrews’ Byre Theatre.

They tie in extremely well with the theatre’s Easter programme for kids – several fairy tales to be told – and hopefully parents will be as enchanted by the badges!  In fact, they’re just as good for adults of an imaginative bent and there’s even a very timely set of 4 based on the Alice in Wonderland story.  Personally, I always loved the Ruby Slippers bit from Wizard of Oz (wasn’t bothered about the rest of the story), and there’s a lovely red glittery badge depicting said slippers…might have to nip back to the Byre to purchase it before anyone else does.  There is slightly more grown-up jewellery on display too in the form of Phiona Richards work, delicately made from the pleated pages of old books.  The Byre Theatre’s open 6 days a week usually and more info on Alix and Phiona can be found on our website.
