The theme of sustainability within the arts must be popular, as bookings for the 2010 annual artists’ forum in April are already coming in.
Aimed at craft and visual artists across the country, not just based in Fife, this year’s promises to be even bigger and better than before! Come and discuss a new initiative based on sharing & swapping skills; hear Craftscotland’s Emma Walker on how to get the best press for your work; listen to Glasgow based artist Justin Carter describe his artistic practice within the sustainable theme; and find out all about the C Words project (carbon, climate, capital, culture) at Bristol’s Arnolfini last year from one of its 5 ‘co-realisers’, Simon Murray of Platform London. More will be finalised shortly – and if this hasn’t whetted your appetite enough, you can also participate in a practical art event by bringing along and swapping some of your cast-off materials to make an artwork!
Sat 17 April 2010, 10am-4pm, Rothes Halls, Glenrothes, Fife, and completely free including lunch and refreshments during the day! To book, go to FCA&C’s website, download and save the forms, complete them, save them again, then return them to the FCA&C office as an attachment. Simples, as the meerkats say!
