From 1 October 2012, under the brand of ON at Fife, Fife Cultural Trust took over management and operation of libraries, arts, museums and archives on behalf of Fife Council.  Kirkcaldy Galleries comprises the town’s art gallery and museum, plus library facilities, now back in the refurbished original buildings.  In the upstairs galleries, as well as a selection of the historic collection and the Family History Room, are galleries used for changing temporary exhibitions of both contemporary and historic art.  A shop and cafe are located on the ground floor.
