Art Activities at St Andrews Museum
An engaging talk and a range of workshops are on offer this Autumn at St
Andrews Museum and Art Gallery. The activities arranged by Fife Contemporary
Art & Craft will accompany the contemporary art exhibition 'Brown Linen' by
textile artist Jeanette Sendler.
Jeanette kicks off the activities with a free informal Gallery Talk on Sunday 5
October. Visitors will find out the background to some of the amazing pieces of
art, inspired by Newburgh's textile history.
Free workshops for children will be held each Friday during the October school
holiday (17 & 24 October - ages 3-7 with accompanying adult, 10.30am-12noon;
ages 8-12, 2-3.30pm). Textile based activities have been developed to appeal to
both girls and boys.
Claire Heminsley, textile artist of last year's 'Cycling up the Hill with my Dad' and
Jeanette each deliver an Adult Masterclass on Saturdays 18 & 25 October
respectively, £20 fee (£15 concessions). Book workshops direct with St Andrews
Museum on 01334 659380; for more information visit www.fcac.co.uk.
